Publishing content with links back to your website via social media generates leads traffic. Free traffic that you would otherwise only get through using ad engines like Google Adwords and Facebook paid to advertise.

Push out your content to as many different locations as possible, making sure you have a link back to the website. This is the Hub and Spoke publishing theory.
